Netherlands Day 4: Breda and Rotterdam

My dad’s parents emigrated from The Netherlands to America. His father came from Breda. (My paternal grandmother came from a smaller town that we’ll have to get to when we go back.)

Something to be said about having a fantastic train system that runs, effectively, 24 hours a day.

The highlights from Breda include the park, the Grote Kerk — a church dating back to 15th century, a great local brewery, and a museum we missed by “that much.”

Rotterdam

The benefit of getting a day pass is that you can decide to explore on the way home. Rotterdam was on the way back. We took our time and explored our way down to the Euromast and back before heading back to Amsterdam.

It’s tough living in the Red Light District.
