So after having FedEx and/or Light Impressions Direct help things out by breaking 16 out 17 sheets of glass for the frames—we’ve managed to get the show matted, framed and hung on the wall. Tonight should be blast. In addition to my stuff on the walls, we’ll have a local fashion designer showing off some goods and a video premier from Marty Casey.
We talked about music and I mentioned I’ve got a 2 day play list with a bunch of stuff on it. One band I mentioned was The Kills. If you can wear out an MP3 file, I think I’m going to find out. Turns out they are playing at The Metro on Friday, May 9. I fly out on Thursday. That. Sucks. I wonder what American would charge for a flight change.
Okay, last night was fantastic. Jen had the bright idea of going to the Tony Fitzpatrickopening at the Chicago Cultural Center. Needless to say I was blown away. We met Steven E. Gross (I’ll get to work with Steven in Mexico in conjunction with Mano Lista Workshops) at the reception and then hit up the Billy Goat for some local brew and a much needed double cheeseborger.
