Durham Diffuses Rumored White Supremacist Rally with a Drum Circle

My office is in downtown Durham. Today, on the heels of the events in Charlottesville, we started hearing about a potential white supremacists rally within blocks of the office.

It’s easy to assume the worst. A reaction to the toppling of a Confederate statue earlier this week.

Hats off to the level-headed folks who pulled together an impromptu, peaceful, counter-protest to make it clear that white supremacists are not welcome in Durham.

Being Durham, it turned into a drum circle.
